Prince Kazeem Eletu Football Club has ended the outgoing year unbeaten following 2-1 victory against Ambassardorr Football Club in a friendly match played on Thursday at Eagles Club, Surulere, Lagos
The friendly match was put together to test the newly recruited players in the Eletu team. The performance of both old and new players gladdened the heart of a head coach, Bilal Sousdi who commended the players for their commitment and dedication in the recent friendly games.
Daniel Mbonu’s goal in each half extended Eletu’s unbeaten run since they resumed from a break in September. The club had played a series of friendly matches and they are yet to lose or play a draw in all the matches.
Eletu coach, Sousdi said the performance of the players is quite impressive urging them to maintain the tempo in their subsequent friendly matches.
“I am satisfied and happy with the progression of the team in each match. Our new players are responding well and it is amazing to end the outgoing year unbeaten. I congratulate the players for their commitment to the club and I wish them Happy New Year,” he said.
Sousdi also expressed gratitude to the club owner, Prince Kazzem Eletu for the confidence he has in him saying that year 2022 would be better for the team.
“We are planning a training tour in the first quarter of next year and we want to prepare well for the tour. I am satisfied with the player’s commitment and their response to the coach’s instruction. I wish them to continue like this so that we can get big offers for them in the year 2022,” he said.
In his own remark, Eletu team manager, Muftau Eletu commended the players for their doggedness and determination shown to the club. He described the team’s performance against Amabassardorr and other friendlies as quite impressive and congratulated the players for winning their last friendly match in the outgoing year.
Meanwhile, the club founder Prince Eletu has commended the team for their remarkable achievement recorded in the outgoing year. He said the club had a good outing in the Morocco invitational tourney which some of the players signed for various Moroccan clubs.
He thanked the coaching crew, management staff for their commitment and dedication to the club. He said the club is formidable and well known not only in Lagos but Nigeria at large. He particularly thanked the media who worked round the clock to cover the activities of the club both junior and senior including the female football team.
