In a heartfelt message, Sochima expressed his gratitude to the club and its supporters. “Thank you Rivers United for the wonderful three years of victories, trophies, and memorable experiences.

The ups and downs of events are part of the game, and we shall all conquer. Wishing the club good luck for the future,” Sochima said.

Reflecting on his time with Rivers United, Sochima added, “I needed wings to fly, and you provided them. It’s been a splendid time in the blue and white colors.

Restoring the club to history with a trophy and flying the country’s flag on the continent, I will cherish every moment. Thank you, Rivers United.”

Sochima’s departure marks the end of a significant chapter for the club, which witnessed unprecedented success during his tenure. His contributions were integral to Rivers United’s rise to prominence in Nigerian football, and his absence will be felt as the club moves forward.
