Former Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh has heaped praises on Victor Osimhen, lauding the highly-rated Napoli forward as the closest player to legendary Rashidi Yekini.
Victor Osimhen who won the Serie A young player of the season with Napoli and has hit the ground running at the ongoing Afcon games.
Oliseh who was also a former player and captain of the national team revealed this while reminiscing on his time as a player, his teammates, and Nigeria’s success on the global stage among many other achievements in a program tagged “Special Delivery” with Emmanuel Babayaro and EseOghene Matthew Edafe.

“There’s this player I like a lot and wanted to bring him in just before I resigned as coach of Super Eagles and am happy to see him finally in the team now, Victor Osimhen,” he stated.
“Osimhen Reminds of Rashidi in a kind of way, he has more aerial prowess than Rashidi Yekini.”
“Our potency offensively dropped since Rashidi left, with Osimhen, we now have a force in the attack line.”
“With Osimhen leading the attack, we have that force who can press, guarantee goals upfront,” he concluded.
Victor Osimhen who is the subject of the European club’s interest is the leading Afcon goals scorer, he’s expected to keep his place when Nigeria hosts Guinea Bissau.
