Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is reportedly set on departing Napoli before the conclusion of the current summer transfer window.

This revelation comes from Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who shared insights on Osimhen’s imminent move on his social media platform, X.
“Victor Osimhen’s plan is still to leave Napoli this summer as his movement is expected soon,” Romano wrote. “After a quiet June, Napoli expect proposals to arrive for Osimhen as he could be on the move. The release clause is around €120m.”
Despite extending his contract with Napoli in December, the club’s president Aurelio de Laurentiis hinted that Osimhen would likely leave this summer. To facilitate this, a hefty release clause of approximately €130 million was inserted into the 25-year-old’s contract, reflecting his significant market value.
Osimhen’s transfer saga has attracted considerable attention, with several top European clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, and Arsenal, reportedly interested in securing his services. However, no formal offers have been tabled yet, causing some concern within the Napoli camp.
Newly appointed Napoli manager Antonio Conte acknowledged the complex situation surrounding Osimhen during his introductory press conference. Conte affirmed that the club is committed to honoring the agreement to allow Osimhen to leave, provided that an interested club meets Napoli’s substantial asking price.
“As far as Osimhen is concerned…I know what the situation is regarding Osimhen,” Conte stated. “I know that there are agreements, that it is a situation different from all the others. I can only assist. He is a player of the highest level, exceptional, but I cannot enter into any discussion because it is part of previous agreements which have been clearly stated to me.”
Osimhen, who has expressed a preference for a move to the Premier League, continues to keep his options open as his future remains uncertain. With the transfer window ticking down, Napoli and potential suitors will be keen to resolve his status sooner rather than later.
