Uzoho Promises to show up At The AFCON

Super Eagles goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho says he’s committed to make Nigeria proud at the forthcoming 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

Uzoho who’s listed in Gernot Rohr’s professional list for the tournament has endured a torrid time this season and has came under so many criticisms for the goal he conceded against Seychelles in the country’s last qualifying match in Asaba, but the player is grateful for the opportunity to make his AFCON bow.

“Another privilege to represent my country. Hope I get the opportunity to make you’ll proud. In Christ Alone,” he wrote on his Instagram status page on Wednesday.

The goalkeeper who has kept four clean sheets for the Super Eagles is set to continue as his Country’s number in Egypt and he has thanked his former team Elche for their roles in his development.

“In the midst of my challenges this season, yet I still find reasons to smile that it wasn’t all failures. Thank you @elchecfoficial for giving me the opportunity,” Uzoho wrote beneath his video in action for Elche.

Uzoho will continue his battle with Daniel Akpeyi and Ilechukwu Ezenwa when the Super Eagles camp starts preparation for the African Cup of Nations, the duo are also eyeing Eagles number one spot.
