Uyo, Akwa Ibom State capital has been selected as host of the 2023 Arsenal Nigeria Converge, held from Friday 30th June to Sunday, 2nd July, 2023. It is billed to be one of the biggest gatherings of football fans in Nigeria.

Thousand of Gunners all from across different locations in the country are expected in the oil-rich South-South state for the 2-day fest.
Uyo, Akwa Ibom State has a very strong and well-organized Arsenal fan base. One of Nigeria’s finest exports to Europe and national legend, Kanu Nwankwo donned Arsenal colors for a number of successful years.
The converge will feature among other activities, Arsenal Fans Mini Tournament, Foodfest, Meet & Greet, Suya Night, tours and site seeing.
According to the Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee, Hon. Akan Eyo, ‘Uyo, Akwa Ibom State is poised to offer Arsenal Fans in Nigeria a memorable end-of-season get-together’.
Among the Nigerian cities whose Arsenal fans are billed to include Lagos, Port Harcourt, Abuja, Calabar, Abia, Delta as well as the host city, Uyo. Recall that the North London club enjoyed a successful 2022/2023 season, which saw them qualify for Europe after a seven-year hiatus.
The fans are optimistic that their team is going in the right direction and it is just a matter of time before the silverware begin to pour in.
Expected to be one of the biggest gatherings of football fans in Nigeria, the converge In Uyo will give Arsenal fans the opportunity to relax and savor memories of the 2022/2023 English Premier League season which saw the Gunners challenge Manchester City for the title and eventually seal a return to the UEFA Champions League.
