As the Fusion Football Championship is drawing nearer, the president of Utility Sports FC, Lawal Abiodun has expressed confidence that his team would have a good outing when the tournament begins next month in Lagos.
Abiodun disclosed this after his team played 2-2 with 96 champions in a recent friendly match played at the FIFA legacy pitch of the national stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
Abiodun explained that he is impressed with the recent form of his team in the friendly matches and warned their potential opponents in the forthcoming fusion championship to beware of his players who are in high spirits and ready to wreak havoc.
“Utility Sports are presently doing well in our recent friendly matches. I must commend my players and coaching crew for the job well done. The players particularly have shown a lot of resilience and doggedness in our recent friendly matches. This is to tell you that we are optimistic and confident to play in the fusion championship,” he said.
Lawal who doubles as team head coach noted that Utility Sports would continue to engage in more friendly matches and scouting programs to keep his boys fit ahead of the fusion championship.
“We will not rest on our oars and we would continue to play friendly matches to keep my boys fit ahead of future challenges. Presently most of my players are in the best form of their lives and ready to give any team that comes their way a run for their money,” he concluded.
