Former Coach of Messiah Football Club, Anthony Ushurhe at the club training session began to assist coach Tunde Olayinka to drill the players ahead of Manufacturers Cup and Lagos State Challenge Cup.
The training session was conducted by Coach Tunde Olayinka and Ushurhe as both gaffers who tutored the players as part of preparation ahead of future football competitions. The players lived up to expectations and were impressive during the training session.
Ushurhe who spoke to our correspondent after the training said he was not worried about the Messiah FC player’s current form boasting that the club would do well in Manufacturing Cup and Lagos FA Cup.
“ After the NLO league, the club is yet to feature in major football competitions or play tough friendly matches in Lagos. I am not worried about that because what I see today( Tuesday) showed that the club can shock big clubs when they meet them in major football competitions,” he said.
Ushurhe revealed that the club is undergoing total overhauling saying that in the next few days, the Lagos-based amateur one would begin to engage in top friendly matches to keep them fit ahead of Manufacturers Cup and Lagos FA Cup.
Olayinka said the players are responding fast and urged them to remain disciplined and focused as they are planning to engage in friendly matches in the few days to come.
Ushurhe has been in the US for a coaching course for the past few years. He is back in Nigeria to assist the club in their preparation for Manufacturers Cup and Lagos FA Cup.
