AJ Tennis Academy programme coordinator, Tolu Adeleye has declared that the US-brand of youth training he is bringing to Nigeria will aid the country in enhanced production of future stars for the aces’ sport.
Sports247.ng reports that Adeleye is happy with the response so far the project has received in Nigeria, as he says kids in the country are now privileged to enjoy high level training and mentoring like those abroad.
He stated further that bringing home to Nigeria standards similar to what young players enjoy in America and Europe is the target of a programme to be specially launched in Nigeria by his US-based academy.
Adeleye added that the objective is not only to support the production of tennis stars, but also to impact their natural instinct, creativity and civic responsibilities, which would make them better citizens for the country.
He expatiated: “Tennis is truly a global sports with major tournaments in all continents and talents abound in Africa.
“Our aim is to establish ways to expand opportunity and bring hope to Africa children. All they require is technical support and mentoring.
“Our immediate plan is to host multi-day academics and tennis camps in partnership with local secondary schools and Nigerian Tennis Federation.
“In the long run, our goal is to build a permanent facility in Nigeria, for continuous academic and tennis instructions.”
