Italian club US Cremonese, recently relegated from the top-tier, has set a firm transfer fee of €6 million for their talented forward, David Okereke.
The demand comes as the club aims to make a profit on their initial investment of €5 million when they acquired the player from Belgian team Club Brugge.

Club Brugge, however, incurred a loss on the transfer, having originally signed Okereke for a record fee of €8 million during the 2019/2020 season from Serie B club Spezia.
The 25-year-old striker’s current market valuation, as per Transfermarkt, stands at €4 million.
Amidst the transfer negotiations, Turkish giants Besiktas have emerged as the frontrunners in securing Okereke’s services. The club has reportedly expressed their willingness to offer €3 million for the striker, demonstrating their keen interest in bolstering their attacking lineup.
Okereke, who had initially expressed a desire to remain in Italy, has now decided to explore opportunities abroad. Having spent most of his football career in Italy, he seeks a new challenge outside the country’s borders.
The Nigerian forward’s performances have caught the attention of several clubs, with Besiktas making significant strides to secure his signature.
As the transfer saga unfolds, football enthusiasts await the final outcome, keen to see where Okereke’s next footballing chapter will take him.
With US Cremonese‘s demand for a substantial transfer fee and Besiktas’ interest, the negotiations promise to be intriguing, paving the way for Okereke to embark on a new adventure and continue making an impact on the football stage.
