It’s an atmosphere of horror on Saturday at the Vitality Ground of Nothingham FC as two of their players, Ola Aina and Danilo suffered a serious injury against Bournemouth, Sports247 reports.
The Super Eagles defender, Ola Aina was subbed off in the 54th minute after twisting ankle as the medical team asked the coach to substitute after careful examination.
Aina has been a pivot for the team in the left side of the defence , keeping Bournemouth attackers at bay in their English Premier open as Nottingham Forest were leading 1-0 before his injury.
Though the extent of the injury is yet to be ascertained but feelers coming from the club indicated the player might have sustained a serious injury.
The extent of the injury will be a major concern which may affect his call up into the Super Eagles ahead of the double Africa Cup of Nations in September.
Just before Ola Aina , Brazil Danilo suffered an ankle in the 11th minute from an awkward landing after challenging the ball with Antoine Semenyo and suffered a broken ankle.
The scene was horrific when the fans at the City went muted as the midfielder received medical treatment within the confines of a barrier.
The fears around the stadium grew, that Danilo might have suffered an out of the season injury as he was taken to the hospital.
Nothingham Forest were unlucky in the game after Semenyo was at the right place to tap in an equaliser in close range, he benefited from Nothingham poor clearance.
The goal hit Bournemouth at the death to deny the home all three points after
C. Wood put Nothingham Forest ahead in the first half.
