The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of the first edition of the Unimatt Football Tournament has sent out a strong warning to clubs and academy participating in the tournament.

According to a Communique released by the LOC, Coaches and Players must adhere to the rules and regulation of the tournament and excuse any form of indiscipline.
The Chairman of the Agbor Football Coaches and Directors union (AFCADU) appointed Coach Ali Idris and Coach Ifeanyi Dike as the LOC Think Tanks following the Resignation of
the Former LOC Chairman Coach Harrison Obodo who threw in the towel citing undue interference into the planning and organization of the tournament which is being sponsored by Coach Mathew Orhibarbor.
The Communique read in parts
1. All participating teams must appear decently dressed as there would be no room for improper dressings, any team found not well dressed would not be allowed to play .
2. Yellow card #200
3. Red Card #500
4. All teams must arrive early enough before their match time as late coming won’t be accommodated for is going to be a walk over to your opponent. if your match is 1pm, please be at the field by 12.30pm ,30mins for screening then kick off 1pm sharp.
5. In a case of fighting there shall be automatic suspension from the tournament and a fine of #5000 paid to the union account.
6. Any player found directly abusing the match officials if investigated and found guilty will be disqualified from the tournament.
7. Coaches should be of good conduct and properly dressed as coaches on the touchline failure to do that is #1000
8. Each teams are advised to also come with a match ball.
9. Abusive languages or quarreling between Coaches is highly prohibited.
10. Respect the officials decision during play.
11. Only 5 number of substitution is allowed.
Meanwhile, the Tournament is due to kick of on Thursday 29th February with two times AFCADU champions Big Daddy FC taking on Sharp Strikers in the opening match.
The 2022 Delta North Football Coaches Council Champions coached by Coach Ibrahim Musa will be looking to make it a treble if they go on to win this tournament.
The Second match of the day will see Delta Milan log horns with Debutante Diamond FC while on Friday 1st March, Newly Registered side Ogbemudien will face off with
the “pride of Agbor” KG Sports Academy.
Also on Friday 1st March, Golden boys will trade tackles with another new team, Dani FC coached by Ojewa Winners. All these matches will be played at the Agbor Township Stadium.
Meanwhile on Saturday 2nd March, Hostilities will shift between the Stadium and the Unidel Sports Ground. Emerald FC will play Green Rangers at the stadium while Nice FC will face off with Starpeak at the Unidel Ground. Also on Second Unimatt FC will do battle with Abavo United also at the Unidel Ground.
The star match of this round will be the battle of the Stars as Ultimate Stars and Soccer Stars will trade tackles at the Stadium and on Sunday, attention will shift to the Stadium once again with Super fly playing against Ika Lions FC while Ambassador FC will play against Winners FC.
The 20 teams will be ranked after the first round matches to ascertain the top 16 teams that will progress to the round of 16.
