Ultimate stars of Agbor white washed Delta Milan 4-0 in the group B encounter of the Doris Nwadiolu Memorial Cup at the Agbor Township Stadium on Thursday.
Oluchi scored the fastest goal in the tournament with a wonder strike inside the 1st minute to set the tone for Ultimate Stars. Fourteen Minutes into the game Victory double the lead for Ultimate stars.
Victory got his second goal in the 59th minute before Kenneth put the icing on the cake in the 71st minute
“It was a shocking defeat no doubt, too many errors from our Goalkeeper, We will make it up in the next game” Coach Harrison Obodo said after the match
Soccer Stars bounced back from their opening day fixture with a 2-0 win over Sharp Strikers in the other group A match of the day. A brace from Elijah Ogechukwu gave the Coach Ali tutoured side the maximum point. Elijah opened scores in the 10th minute from the penalty spot after a sharp striker defender and double the lead in the 27th minute. The win took Soccer Side top of the table with 3 points over KG sports Academy with a game in hand.
Over in Group B, Ultimate are top of the Table with 3 points ahead of Delta Milan. Mighty Wonderers of Abraka are yet to play and will be playing their first match on Friday.
The tournament which is being organized by KG Sports Foundation is in memory of the mother of the CEO KG Sports Academy, Dr Ken Gadaffi.
