SV Mainz 05’s Nigerian duo, Anthony Ujah and Karim Onisiwo were the club’s heroes at the weekend, as they both hit target for the team in a massive victory.
Sports247.ng can report that former Super Eagles striker, Ujah and an Austrian international, Onisiwo helped Mainz thrash FC Eddersheim 4-0.
Ujah opened scoring in the 10th minute, then hit his brace to make it 2-0 five minutes later, while one-cap Austria national team rookie, Onisiwo closed scoring in the 45th minute.
Also this weekend, Borussia Moenchengladbach enjoyed a 6-0 victory over Wiener SK, with one of the goals coming from former Crystal Palace whiz kid, Mandela Egbo.
Egbo got off the bench in the 62nd minute and needed only two minutes to put Gladbach 5-0 up, with an assist from ex-Tottenham Hotspur youth team player, Keanan Bennetts, who got off the bench at the same time.
