Rolly football club, Benin City, Edo state is in the finals of the Annual Ughelli Pre-Season Cup 2020.
The Ndubuisi Okosieme Boys will engage the favourite team of the competition -FC Izam of Jos, Plateau State.
The 2-week long competition featured a round of 16 teams both from the Nigeria Professional League, Nigeria Nation-wide league, Nigeria Amateur League and non league team; converge at the Ughelli township stadium to warm up their team in a bit to win the highly coverted trophy.
The Roland Inonoje’s tutored boys known as Rolly Football Club is the only Nigeria’s Nation-wide league representative from Edo State which came into existence in 2018 as a collection of talented street boys hungry to explore the world of football. And the trial offered to them at the last edition of Bet9jia Football Competition hosted in Delta State proved exhilarating. Even though the boys lost their first major competition trophy at the finals, they stayed together to emerge a darling team.
Before today’s finals, Rolly Football Club had lost their first game to Sunset Football Club, drew their second match, won their last game and defeated Dream Boys Fc by 5 goals to 2, defeated Excellent FC by 2 goals to 1 in both Quarter finals and Semifinals.
