Ahead of Saturday’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between Nigeria and South Africa, former Super Eagles defender, Nduka Ugbade has declared that the Super Eagles need to line out every arsenal they can muster in order to get the desired victory.
Ugbade, who was part of the Eagles’ squad that won the 1994 Africa Cup of Nations in Tunisia, but missed the team to USA ’94 World Cup by the whiskers, said all hands must be on deck to carry the day in Johannesburg.
He stated further in a chat with sports247.ng that he is backing the Eagles to win, but wants them to go all out for goals in order to defeat the South Africans at their backyard in Johannesburg.
The current assistant coach of the under-17 national team, Golden Eaglets was also part of the Eagles’ team that defeated South Africa 4-0 in a World Cup qualifier back in 1992, added the need for determination to see Gernot Rohr’s side through at FNB Stadium.
Ugbade said: “The team need to employ all their arsenal going into Saturday’s game to maintain their superiority over the South Africans.”
