Nigeria cadet national team, Golden Eaglets assistant coach, Nduka Ugbade has shot his mind ahead of the draw ceremony for next year’s Africa U-17 Cup of Nations, and concluded that the side must be ready to face any opponent that comes their way.
With the draw now billed for December in Ethiopia, Ugbade admitted in an interview with sports247.ng that he and the players know they are bound to face a very strong opposition.
He added that the head coach, Manu Garba, is also looking anxiously ahead to when the draw will be conducted, but added that they all remain unperturbed about which countries will come their way.
Ugbade said: “We know that the competition will be a difficult one, but we’ve set their sight on meeting any team that comes our way in the draw.
“We are ready to play any team that is placed with us the same group, and our target will still be on how to qualify for the World Cup in Peru.”
