Super Eagles international, Zaidu has expressed his optimism over Porto’s chances of qualification in the UEFA Champions League group stage following a hard earned victory against Bayern Leverkusen.
The Portuguese side claimed a 2-0 victory after series of VAR interventions in the game to further heighten thier hopes of progression from the group.
Zaidu who joined the action in the 63rd minute wasted no time to make an impact scoring a goal in the 69th minute to give them the lead before a second was added by Galeno.
Reacting after the game, he said, “It was a very good victory for us, for our club and for our fans. I am very grateful to have helped the team to win the three points.”
“We all work to be able to score when there is an opportunity and today it was up to me. It was an important victory for us and it keeps us in the fight for qualification,” he remarked.
