New arrival at Rayo Vallecano of Spain, Uche Agbo has stated delight with his return to playing in La Liga, as he says he missed the scene so much.
Agbo is back in The Land of The Armada, after a stint in Belgium with Standard Liege and a short stop-over in China, but he says Spain is where his game is best suited.
Sports247.ng gathered that Agbo, who came close to making Nigeria’s squad to last year’s World Cup in Russia, is now thinking big with Vallecano.
Although his club is rated modest, by all standards in La Luiga, the former Granada of Spain striker, says he will give his best to support the team’s ambitions.
He reckoned that Spain accords him a better terrain to exhibit his talent, such that midfielder-cum-defender is once again thinking of hitting fresh headlines with the former club of late Wilfred Agbonavbre.
The soft-spoken player, who grew up in Kaduna, acknowledged his desire for a recall to the Super Eagles’ mainframe, and believes playing regular with Vallecano will help him cement a place in the squad to the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
Agbo stated with glee: “I understand Spanish football, the way the football is played suits my style.
“I decided to come back, even though it’s a loan, but playing here will only enhance my development further.”
