Rivers United youngster Peter Ubakanma believes simply playing with the club’s stars will help him improve as a player.
Ubakanma, a 20-year-old signing from MFM FC, was with the Pride of Rivers team during the pre-season and is said to have caught the eye of coach Stanley Eguma.
Normally considered a defender, Sports247.ng reports Ubakanma has done well at defensive midfield – to the Coach’s surprise – and the versatile player says he is enjoying his taste of the Rivers United side
“The Coach told me to keep calm and do what I do and what I normally do for my team,” Ubakanma told Sports247.ng.
“I’m working hard and improving. I’m learning a lot because these players are the best in the Nigeria Professional Football League. Playing with them is the best way to learn.
