Nigeria International, Samuel Chukwueze has been named the best U21 dribbler in the LaLiga Santander for the 2018/2019 season, Sports247 report.
The Villarreal youngster was named ahead of Barcelona’s youngster Ousmane Dembele, Real Madrid’s Vinicius Jnr and Goncalo Guedes of Valencia after completing an average of two dribbles per game.
According to Whoscored.com, Chukwueze completed 52 dribbles in 26 appearances over the course of the league this season, 0.6 dribbles less than his average dribbles in the UEFA Europa League.
The 20-year-old made his debut for Villarreal in November and helped the Yellow Submarine avoid relegation with his five league goals and two assists over the course of the season.
Chukwueze who made his debut for Nigeria in a goalless draw against Uganda was also listed among the best U-21 players in the league last week.
He is also part of the provisional 25-man list squad released by coach Gernot Rohr ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
