Nigeria’s under-20 handball national team coach, Fidelis Obi has declared that the country has what it takes to shine at the next global competition of the youth cadre.
After emerging winners of the African U-20 Handball Championship, Obi said he and his players have already set their target at the global stage next year.
Obi said in an interview withsports247.ng that they intend to finish strongly, as he believes they have acquired all the experience needed to make waves at the Mundial.
Obi said: “What the team lacked all the while had been exposure. This comes with playing lots of competitions, which the team has started doing.
“At this rate, I am sure that we will be in the right condition for an exciting outing at the under-20 Handball World Cup, and who says we cannot win it?”
