It was the turn of NWFL players in the Super Falcons squad to shine as the team thrashed Equatorial Guinea 9-0 in their third match of the Turkish Women’s Cup played on Tuesday.
Edo Queens goal keeper, Christy Ohiaeriaku got the nod to start between sticks for the team to make her debut in national team colours ahead of Oluehi, who had been a regular since the tournament started.
Christy was joined by her Edo Queens’ mate, Glory Ogbonna who had been a starter in defence for Randy Waldrum since day 1.
While Asisat Oshoala had bagged her hat trick in 26 minutes and Toni Payne had bagged two assists in 36minutes, Onome Ebi was replaced by FC Robo defender, Habeebat Akinwande for her debut in the green and white colours.
