Tunisia is ready to host Nigeria and other African countries for the table tennis African Championship Olympics qualifiers to determine participants ahead of Paris 2024.
Having hosted several WTT (world table tennis) series, the North African nation will welcome the best table tennis players from Africa for the 2023 African championships which also serve as the Paris 2024 Olympic Games qualifiers.
From September 11 to 17, the Rades Sports Complex will host another epoch-making continental tournament in which players and teams will be gunning for tickets to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games as revealed by ITTF Africa.
Tunisia hosted the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Qualifiers in 2020 and it is believed the staging of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games qualifiers would give them the chance to showcase their ability in hosting top-class events as well as provide their players the opportunity to qualify for Paris.
The President of Tunisia Table Tennis Federation (TTTF)) Lotfi Guerfel revealed the readiness of Tunisia for the 2023 African Championships, he said: “We believe that our participation in most previous tournaments is the best we can do to prepare our players for the 2023 African Championships.
