Nigeria descent goalkeeper, Arthur Okonkwo has been given the greenlight to leave Arsenal this summer as he eyes more regular football which the Emirate club cannot provide him with.
The highly rated 21-year-old who is one of the tallest goalkeepers in Europe as he stands at 6ft and 6in (1,98 meters) had a successful loan spell at Austrian Bundesliga side, Sturm Graz with his performances not going without notice of clubs in England and Europe.
it has now been agreed that the talented showstopper can leave Arsenal on a permanent deal this summer despite the fact that he still has one year remaining on his contract according to transfer guru, Fabrizio Romano.
With his deal set to expire next summer, the North London club are willing to cash in on the goalkeeper and have alerted interested clubs after they put him on the market and is now subject of interest from clubs in England and across Europe.
Okonkwo has been with Arsenal since 2009, signing a senior contract in July 2021 and making his senior team debut that same month in a friendly against Hibernian.
He has played for England at under-16, under-17 and under-18 levels and will now hope to prove his quality elsewhere having struggled to break into the first-team at Arsenal.
