Despite an initial setback with a loss in their first match, the team has bounced back impressively, winning their last two games and making significant strides in their pre-season campaign.
Tradesafe FC’s journey to the NNL this season began with skepticism from many football enthusiasts after they suffered a defeat in their first pre-season game. Critics predicted that they might not be adequately prepared for the NNL league. However, the team defied expectations and has shown incredible form in recent matches, particularly in their victory over First Bank FC, a well-regarded opponent that was made to look ordinary on the day.
Sport 247.ng had an interview with the team’s coach, Ademola Adesina, he shed light on what transpired in the team’s opening game.
Coach Adesina explained that Lagos traffic caused the team to arrive just five minutes before kick-off, leaving no time for a proper warm-up session. Consequently, Tradesafe FC conceded early goals before they could settle into the match. Despite this challenging start, the team remained undeterred.
Adesina highlighted that Tradesafe FC had two more games following the opening match, securing a win, a draw, and another win. These results propelled them to the quarter-finals, where they faced First Bank FC. The coach emphasized that, although First Bank FC was considered the stronger side, he had faith in his team’s ability to emerge victorious.

Coach Adesina’s history as a former player of First Bank FC, where he played under notable coaches Fatai Amoo and Patrick Wudo, gave him valuable insights into both teams’ playing styles. This knowledge proved pivotal in Tradesafe FC’s 2-0 victory over First Bank FC.
Looking ahead, Tradesafe FC is gearing up for the NNL preseason. While doubts persist about the team’s competence and performance in the league, Coach Adesina remains optimistic. He believes that, with divine support and the backing of the team president, Tradesafe FC will establish its dominance in the NNL.
Tradesafe FC’s remarkable turnaround in pre-season friendly matches is a testament to their determination and resilience. As they prepare for the NNL season, they are proving that they are a force to be reckoned with and are poised to make a significant impact in Nigerian football.
