Trabzonspor have reportedly submitted a bid to Slavia Prague for the transfer of Peter Olayinka.
The Black Sea Storm has been tracking the forward since the start of last season, according to reports.
In 39 games last season, Olayinka scored 10 goals and provided 5 assists. His market worth is estimated to be €7 million. He has one year left on his contract with Slavia Prague, and his time in the Czech Republic may be coming to an end.
Trabzonspor are pursuing the Nigerian international on the advice of the club’s manager, Abdullah Avci, who is looking to bolster his team, which won the 2021/22 Turkish Super League title. Avci wants to build a strong team capable of competing in both Europe and the league next season.
Trabzon has initiated negotiations about a possible swoop for Olayinka, according to reports from Turkey. The club submitted an opening offer of €5 million (₦2.3billion) and are hopeful of reaching an agreement, despite competition from Fenerbahce for the 26-year-old.
Since his €3.2 million transfer from Belgian outfit K.A.A. Gent in 2018, Olayinka has been a regular for Slavia. He has appeared in 146 games for the Red and Whites, scoring 32 goals and assisting on 19 others. He has three Czech league titles and two Czech Cups to his name with the club.
