The 30-year-old striker, who spent the previous season on loan with the Turkish Super Lig club, has been the subject of ongoing negotiations between the two clubs.

Turkish outlet Sporx reports that Southampton, who initially demanded a €15 million transfer fee for the Super Eagles star, may be willing to reconsider their stance.

Trabzonspor has been reluctant to meet this valuation, but persistent pressure from Onuachu himself seems to be influencing the Saints to potentially lower their demands.

Reports surfaced last week that Paul Onuachu had requested Southampton’s management to facilitate his return to Trabzonspor. The Turkish club is keen on securing the player once again, this time proposing a loan deal with additional bonuses and an option to buy next summer.

During his loan spell at Trabzonspor last season, Onuachu made a significant impact, scoring 17 goals in 25 appearances. His performances have evidently left a lasting impression on the club, which is eager to bring him back into their fold.

Onuachu is contracted to Southampton until June 2026, but his apparent desire to return to Trabzonspor has added a new dimension to the transfer discussions. As the negotiations continue, Trabzonspor remains hopeful that they can finalize a deal that satisfies both parties and secures the return of their prolific scorer.

The outcome of these talks could significantly shape the attacking options for both clubs as they prepare for their upcoming campaigns.
