TotalEnergies, the global energy company, demonstrated its commitment to eradicating poverty and supporting the less privileged by donating N2 million to two charity homes, The Care People Foundation and Galilee Foundation.

The generous donation followed a golf tournament sponsored by TotalEnergies at Ikoyi Club 1938 in Lagos, where Managing Director Mathieu Bouyer presented the cheques to representatives of the charity homes.
Bouyer highlighted the spirit of giving that permeated the event and echoed the words of Horace Jackson Brown Jr., emphasizing that true happiness lies in giving rather than receiving.
He praised the participants of the charity tournament for contributing to a worthy cause and described the event as more than just a golf competition; it added a fulfilling dimension to the collective experience.
The beneficiaries of this year’s charity event are the Care People Foundation in Ibadan and the Galilee Foundation in Ibadan, Oyo State. TotalEnergies’ annual commitment to such charitable initiatives demonstrates its unwavering support for the less privileged in society.

In appreciation of TotalEnergies’ consistent support, Favour Toluwani, Vice President of The Care People Foundation, acknowledged the company’s substantial contributions, such as donating 50 brand new wheelchairs to physically challenged children.

Dr. Gregory Egbadon, Executive Director of the Galilee Foundation, also expressed gratitude for TotalEnergies’ ongoing support, including annual subventions. The company’s efforts in assisting these charity homes were commended, demonstrating its dedication to a commendable cause.
The golf tournament, attended by 98 players, saw Adebayo Alli emerge as the overall winner with 37 points. John Vassaur secured the first runner-up position with 33 points, while Folabi Balogun became the second runner-up with 32 points.
TotalEnergies’ staff also participated in the tournament, with Mr. Paul Brisibe winning the male category with 31 points and Adesua Adewole triumphing in the female category with 23 points.
