The stage is set for the TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024 Qualifiers draw, scheduled to take place on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at 14:00 Cairo time (11:00 GMT). Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania will jointly host the tournament from February 1-28, 2025.

Ahead of the finals, two rounds of qualifiers will be played on a home-and-away basis:
First round: October 25-27 and November 1-3, 2024
Second round: December 20-22 and December 27-29, 2024
Since its inception in 2009, the TotalEnergies CHAN tournament has showcased exceptional African football talent and quality.
The previous edition in Algeria drew thousands of supporters and millions of global audiences.
In line with CAF’s objective to increase commercial strength, the TotalEnergies CAF CHAN competition has seen a significant rise in commercial value, including a 60% increase in prize money, with the winners receiving $2 million.
Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania’s hosting of CHAN 2024 serves as valuable preparation for the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations 2027.
