Niger Tornadoes Chairman Hon. Adamu Aliyu Mohammed has showered praises on the State Darling Team Niger Tornadoes FC Minna, for winning the maiden edition of Gusau/Ahlan Cup Pre-season Tournament in Kano, when he was presented the trophy at the team’s training ground at 123 Football Pitch, Minna.
The Chairman commended the players and coaches for making the State proud and the total commitment exhibited through out the duration of the tournament.
He said, in-spite of some peculiar challenges, Players and Coaches have continued to demonstrate that they are good ambassadors of the State, he charges them to remain more focused and determined ahead of the new league season.
He assured that the Club’s management under his leadership is doing everything humanly possible to ensure that the players’ entitlements are settled
Hon. Adamu Aliyu Mohammed who is a critical member of the Interim Management Committee (IMC) saddled with the responsibility of ensuring a smooth take off of the 2022/2023 NPFL season, stressed that all hands are on deck towards making sure that the apex football in the Country kicks off in earnest and without any hitch.
He commended the management members who are always with the team especially, Aliyu Mohammed (Team Manager) and Adamu Yusuf (Coordinator) giving all the necessary brief regarding the affairs and runnings of the club.
The Chairman added that despite financial challenges which is not peculiar to Niger State alone, the state government would continue to prioritize and provide all the necessary support the club needed to excel.
Afterwards, Hon. Adamu Aliyu who doubles as the Principal Private Secretary to the Governor of Niger State, donated a cash gift to the players for the triumphant outing in Kano.
