Torino are reportedly willing to offload Nigerian full-back, Ola Aina, during this summer transfer window. According to Calciomercato.com, the Turin-based club will seek a sum in the range of €10 million for the 25-year-old.
Aina was a regular for Torino in the first part of the 2021/22 season, featuring in 16 matches before he was called up to the Nigeria squad for the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon in January this year. He appeared in three games for Nigeria, who were eliminated from the tournament in the Round of 16.
Following his return from international duty, the former Chelsea star was largely overlooked, making only five appearances out of a possible 16 throughout the remainder of last season.
As per the reports, Torino Sporting Director Davide Vagnati prefers to sell the player abroad, specifically in England, where Aina grew up and played for Chelsea, Hull City, and Fulham. The versatile defender is eager to leave the Italian club that finished 10th in the Serie A last season.
Aina is currently away on international duty with Nigeria as the Super Eagles prepare for a friendly against Ecuador on Friday, June 3rd, as well as the first two of their qualifying matches for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations against Sierra Leone (June 9) and Mauritius (June 13).
