It is no longer news that Double J Super Cup Final would hold on August 23, all things being equal at Ladoje Primary School, Oko-Oba, Agege, Lagos,what is news is how the two finalists are looking forward to the crucial game.
The final ceremony would be played between Toma Football Club and God’s Power Football Club in a match promises to be tough considering the performance of two teams in the group stage.
To reach the final stage, God’s Power FC defeated Sheriff 4-1, while Toma FC laboured 11-10 on penalties after one goal apiece at the regulation time.
Speaking ahead of the crucial game,Toma FC boss,Tobi Ogboyemi told Journalists in Lagos that his players are ready and boasted that no team can stop them from winning the title.
“My players and coaching crew are ready for the game.We are just waiting for government to lift the lockdown on sport activities so that the players can train for full fitness ahead the final.presently,the players are doing individual training according to report I got from head coach.I strongly believe that my team can win the title based on some matches I watched in the competition before the lockdown started,”he said.
Ogboyemi popularly known as Toma said he had promised his players finacial incentives and other gifts if they can win the tournament.
Meanwhile the cup donor,Raymond Nwachukwu Chinedu said the grandfinale would be colourful and glamorous saying that many upcoming musicians would be invited to perform on stage to add glamour to the closing ceremony.
“The final match has been fixed and we are praying that government should ease the lockdown before the said time.I fixed August for the final because I want to use the final ceremony to celebrate my birthday,so it is going to be a fire works and entertainment all through.Very soon,we would soon unveil our musicians that would come and play for us and guests that would be invited to grace the occasion,”he concluded.
