Nigeria’s Funke Oshonaike has made it 7/7 as she qualified for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Oshonaike would be making her seventh appearance at the Games, a feat which would see her become the first African woman to participate in seven editions of the Games.
Nigeria’s Olufunke Oshonaike etched her name in the annals as the first African female athlete to qualify for seven Olympic Games after the former African champion won all her matches to install herself among the four women who picked their slots to Japan in Tunis.
Oshonaike made her debut at Atlanta 1996 and has featured in all the Olympic Games till date.
