The Tokyo 2020 draws was concluded today virtually and Nigeria’s senior Women’s basketball team have been handed a very tough path in a tough group at the competition.
Nigeria’s D’Tigress are ranked 1st in Africa and 14th in the world according to the last FIBA rankings released in December 2020 after they conquered the whole of Africa in Senegal at the last Afrobasket Women’s competition.
Nigeria will face host Japan, currently ranked 10th on the FIBA rankings, 5th ranked team France and the world number one female ranked team, USA in a very fierce group at the Olympics.
The competition is billed to hold from July 26th to August 8th in Tokyo, Japan.
