This marks Amusan’s first official race since the Paris 2024 Olympics and her debut against Jamaica’s own standout athlete, Shericka Jackson, in the same event.
The 27-year-old, now training under legendary coach Glen Mills in Jamaica following a coaching change in September 2024, is aiming for a strong start to the season after a challenging campaign last year.
Although the meet promises an exciting clash, it is not World Athletics certified and will not count towards qualification for the 2025 World Championships in Tokyo, scheduled for September 13–21.
