Nigerian sprint hurdler Tobi Amusan has made a triumphant return to competitive action, storming to victory in the women’s 100m race at the Velocity Fest in Jamaica.

Amusan, the women’s 100m hurdles world record holder, showed her versatility by competing in the flat 100m sprint, where she clocked an impressive 11.28s (-0.5m/s wind) to claim first place.

The 2022 world champion held off a strong field, finishing ahead of Serena Cole of Jamaica, who placed second in 11.45s, while Anthonique Strachan of The Bahamas came third in 11.46s.
