Kwara United on Sunday, November 10, continued with their impressive pre season campaign beating Osun United 1-0 in a friendly match.
The hosts would have themselves to blame for missing so many goalscoring chances thanks to Kwara United goalkeeper Israel Joseph who was superb in his department.
Osun United started the encounter aggressively looking for the opener in the first minute, but Kwara United defenders were brilliant as they denied the hosts from finding any loophole.
Abdulsallam Abdulsallam had a brilliant chance which could have given Kwara United the lead before the half time break, but he missed the opportunity.
Both team however went into the break goalless.
Osun United came out with more attacking pattern in the second half, and their efforts paid off five minutes after the restart when a penalty was awarded to them.
Goalkeeper Israel Joseph of Kwara United then saved the penalty which was to the disappointment of the home fans at the stands.
Kwara United however got their goal in the 51st minute via a superb header from Tobi Adeyi who benefitted from a glorious corner kick played by Dede Mongara.
Osun United labored to get an equalizer in front of their home faithfuls, but United held on to record a 1-0 win after the full time whistle.
Harmony Boys could be heading to Ekiti or Ibadan for another pre season friendly with yet to be known opponent as preparation for the coming NNL season continues.
Kwara United will host Gombe United in their first game of the season at the Kwara state Stadium, Ilorin.
