The national development manager of the Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF), Tonye Timinadi has stated that the forthcoming National Sports Festival in December this year will give the federation the ample opportunity to discover more young cricketers in the country to replace the under 17 and 19 players.
“National Sports Festival is a developmental competition aimed at discovering talents for the future,” Timinadi said in a chat with Sports247.ng.
“We at the Cricket Federation are looking forward to the 2018 National Sports Festival in December.”
“There is need to us to have a reservoir of talents to make the next step to the age grade teams. This will ensure less stress for us in selection of players for national assignments.”
“All efforts is been made to make the national cricket teams at all level to be viable and strong,” he added.
