TIJANI BABANGIDA EMERGED PRESIDENT OF NIGERIA PLAYERS UNION

Former Super Eagles player, Tijani Babangida has emerged as President National Association of Nigerian Professional Footballers (NANPF).

 

Babangida’s victory was as a result of his opponent Abubakar Bala stepping down from Contesting automatically made Tijani Babangida unopposed for the position .

 

Ashifat Olayinka Sulayman who made it known that Kwara United manager, Abubakar Bala who has travelled with the national U20 team as national team assistant coach,made him to step down from contesting for the post.

 

Ashifat who gave detailed explanation on the matter said that Bala Abubakar’s national assignment leaves him with the responsibility as the head coach, adding that he wouldn’t need any distraction during his.

 

With this development, Tijani Babangida has emerged as the new NANPF President.
