He conveyed, “We are playing this football not just to play as professionals. We are playing to encourage them out there that there is a life behind the disability. So I repeat, there is ability in disability.”
When asked about his ambitions after the Para Games, Jewel revealed his desire to play professionally abroad, specifically in Turkey. He shared, “My ambition is to play professionally outside the country league in Turkey, where the game is being developed, where the players are being paid.”
Despite missing out on previous offers due to procedural delays, Jewel remains optimistic about realizing his dream after the African Cup of Nations in April.
The striker’s ambition extends beyond personal success, as he envisions creating a pathway for amputee football to gain recognition globally and, more importantly, to inspire others facing physical challenges.
