Reeling from the successful Ring Officials Training Seminar November 16th to 18th and it’s first Development Tournament November 20h at the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel in Dubai, the World Africa Boxing Association (WABA) announces its FIRST Annual Convention to take place in Dubai, UAE April 09 to 14, 2021. Coincidentally, however, the World Expo 2021 would also take place in Dubai.
According to the WABA Commissioner to the Middle East, Persian, and Samoa Mr. Zack Taumafai, it was agreed to convene the WABA Convention in Dubai from April 9th to 14th 2021.
The agreement was reached between the WABA President Onesmo Ngowi from Tanzania and WABA Commissioner to the Middle East, the Persian Gulf, and Samoa Zack Taumafai today November 23, 2020.
Mr. Taumafai called upon boxing stakeholders from around the world to enjoy a 10% discount “Early Bird” registration from 1st December 2020 to February 30th, 2021.
According to Mr. Taumafai, the WABA Annual Convention in Dubai will afford participants with a number of benefits such as Ring Officials Training Seminars (Referees, Judges & Medical) in boxing, MMA, Kickboxing, Muaythai, and K1.
Also to benefit the participants would be Rating meeting, meet the Champions whereas a number of both former and current world boxing champions would be in attendance to discuss boxing and taking photos with participants.
The WABA Commissioner alluded that several exciting tour activities in Dubai would be organized which include shopping tours to the Emirates Shopping Mall, a tour of the Commercial City of Dubai, and Desert Tour among others.

Meanwhile, the President of WABA Onesmo Alfred McBride Ngowi and his TEAM Irene Joseph Magebo (DHRM) and Agnes Mtimakunena (WABA Commissioner to Malawi) ended their tour of Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Other WABA Team members Roger Barnor from Ghana, Didier Le Borgne from France and Lorenzo Borgomeo from Italy left Dubai three days ago respectively.
