The Standard Level Ring Officials Training Seminar in Dubai now moves to the 5 stars Mövenpick Hotel & Apartments. The 5 star Hotel famed for international celebrities is located near Al Maktoum International Airport. The WABA coordinated training will include boxing and MMA.
According to the WABA Director of Human Resources Management (DHRM) Ms. Irene Joseph, over 100 participants from Africa, Europe, South East Asia, Americas, and Asia Pacific would take part in the training from March 28th to March 30th, 2021.
The Standard level training will focus on the ring inspectors, weighing machine calibration, cut-mans, referees, judges and ring physicians is certified by the Association of Professional Boxing Commission (APBC), International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF), and WABA respectively.
According to Ms. Joseph, the WABA President and Chair of the Board Hon. Ky Col. Onesmo Alfred McBride Ngowi will coordinate the training in collaboration with Zack Taumafai and Bayam Honari who are the WABA Commissioners to the Middle East, Persian Gulf and Samoa. The 4 days training will pave way for the Advanced Level on November 16th to 19th, 2021 in Dubai.
