Speaking to Sports247, the coach explained the impact of a particular player in Godswill who he saw as a determined player.
“Individually he’s very good and he’s a team player too. The first time he came here, he came alone on trial and amongst about 300 players, he made it to the last eighteen and I’m so passionate about him as he has a lot he can improve in and make Nigeria proud in football,” Head Coach Eko Football, Adesina Yusuf said.
Godswill is a young midfielder for Eko Football U13 and the lad said his role model is Real Madrid’s Luka Modric who plays in a similar position as he does.
He also explained that his father was the encouragement behind his decision to play football while also trying to get good education.
“The purpose of Eko Football is to add education to their football. We have partnership with certain schools that give them scholarships such as Redeem School, Turkish School (NTIC) Abuja, Right to Dream in Ghana, Igbobi College Yaba Lagos, so we have a lot of players on scholarship through Eko Football,” coach Adesina explained.
