The success of Nigeria in age grade competitions has been linked to the availability of scouting programs at the grassroot according to head coach of Box2Box FC, Randy Reuben.
“We are glad for all the scouting programs coming up as they have been a blessing to us at the grassroot, giving the lads opportunities to show themselves and it has been showing in our age-grade national teams,” Randy said to Sports247.
Box2Box have got young players who have left the shores of the country to Europe courtesy of some scouting tournaments and coach Randy relishes the opportunity to have been able to showcase these lads at different tournaments.
“Tolu Aribidare in Amiens SC, France, Durosinmi David in Czech, Ola Kayode and Olaide Badmus in Lithuania, who are all doing well with Kayode scoring Nine goals in Nine games,” Randy said on the list of players abroad from the team.
“The opportunity to showcase them has really been amazing and that’s the positives from these scouting tournaments. We appreciate David Okereke, he has done well, is still doing well as well as so many others who have done their parts too,” he added.
“I don’t see myself doing anything as football has been everything for me from my young days,” he concluded.
