John Dosu started his goalkeeping career with Cosmos FC of Iwaya.
Iwaya is a town under Yaba LCDA, the town has a history of producing goalkeepers with the likes of Alloy Agu and Dosu Joseph been prominent among them.
John Dosu moved from his grassroots club to Julius Berger Abuja under Coach Farawe, then the club was in Amateur.
After a season with Julius Berger John joined NEPA of Lagos under coach Tunde Disu.
John Dosu played with 3sc of Ibadan under coach Jossy and also had a stint with Nassarawa united and Sunshine stars of Akure.
Both Akwa United and Warri Wolves were not left out of his active goalkeeping career.
John Dosu had his own time playing abroad, he was with Bangladesh Mohammedan sporting club of Bangladesh, admiralty of Singapore and Silver stars of South Africa
John had his coaching course at the prestigious Nigeria institute of sports.
He is the current MFM FC of Lagos goalkeeper coach.
