Renowned basketball administrator and sportspreneur, Ugo Udezue, has assured Nigeria basketball fans, investors, stakeholders and enthusiasts, that the future of the game in Nigeria, is very bright.

Speaking to NBBF Media, on the background of the recent feats of the various categories of the country’s national teams on the continental and global levels, the former NBA players manager, was enthusiastic on the talents of Nigeria basketball youngsters to place the country firmly on the world map.
Ugo Udezue who is the Chairman of the NBBF Youth Development Committee, reiterates the plans of the NBBF to improve upon its youth development programmes.
“Abidjan was a good opportunity to evaluate the team and ourselves. We are going back to the war room to come up with a direction and plan to win in South Africa. We have the talent and personnel to compete at the global stage.”
Unassuming and zealously committed to the growth of the game in Nigeria, Udezue, confidently assured Nigerians that, “We have set the bar very high. The future is very bright.
“We need to focus more on the local context. We have created an enabling environment for private enterprise to flourish. This will be impactful at the grassroots level,” he said.
