A few weeks ago, I read an article in a major business daily newspaper online. The writer gave his prediction on what 2020 entails for the Nigerian economy. It was a brilliant piece. However, it was a bleak forecast.
I know many forecasts are also negative. It is very discouraging to the average Nigerian. With all they went through in 2019, you’re now painting another bleak picture?
I am here to paint a new picture: The economic prediction is not your definition and don’t allow it to bother you. What do you need to do?
1. Put your hope in God and not in any human leader or economic indices.
2. Put proper structures in place in your personal finance.
3. Establish an emergency fund to help you weather any storm.
4. Keep working to build your financial future irrespective of the prevailing economic situation.
5. Maintain a positive mental attitude that things will work out for you in spite of the odds.
In conclusion, build capacity to see opportunities in the seemingly daunting challenges we’re currently experiencing.
