“Getting that first win is very important for the morale of the boys, and I am happy we got the win,” Olajide Akinyelu expressed in an interview.
Asked about the team’s outlook after securing three points, he responded, “We still have a lot to work on, as we conceded two sloppy goals. But the positive aspect of today’s game is that we were able to convert our chances, scoring four goals. I think we can build on this and face Sporting Lagos with the belief that we can earn another three points in that game.”

Regarding Semiu Fagbayi’s performance, Akinyelu commented, “He started the season so well. For a player of his calibre to score two goals in three games, it’s not just about the goals for me. It’s the overall performance from Semiu. He takes players on, creates chances for us, fights for the ball, and to top it off with a goal today affirms what we know about him. I believe he is definitely going to build on what he has done so far, and we can expect more from him.”
