Organisers of the Assistant Inspector General of Police Badminton Tourney have announced that all the participating teams are in high spirits and promised to honour the three days tourney which kicks off on Friday at the Badminton sports indoor hall of Police College,Ikeja, Lagos.
Teams expected in the tournament are Lagos County Club,Ikoyi Club, Railway Club, Nigeria Army Club,Airforce Base Club,LASU Club, Railway Club of Abeokuta and hosts, Police College Badminton Club.
The three days tourney which is put together by zone 2 under the leadership of AIG Adeleke Adeyinka Bode would see all the teams in action.
Chairman Organising Committee,SP Moses Aliu confirmed that all invited teams are ready for the tournament noted that the match venue is wearing a new look ahead of the opening ceremony.
“We are looking forward to the opening ceremony and all the invited teams including police college Badminton club have been intensifying their preparations ahead of the tournament.On our part as organisers we have put all logistics in place to stage a memorable tournament,”he said.
Aliu explained further that the three days tourrney is put together to discover more talents among the officers and secondly to allow the participants to use the tourney to prepare them for future challenges.
